Found a Bug?

Great! Well, actually, it's not so great that there was a bug, but it's a good thing you found it.

There are two options for reporting a bug, but before we get to that, we'd like you to make sure that we don't get deluged with duplicate reports. To that end, please head over to our bug tracker on SourceForge.net. Give it a once-over, search around a bit, make sure that this is something we don't already know about.

So, now that you've made sure that this is a new bug (or at least a bug you have new information on), there are two options for telling us about it:

  1. If you already have a SourceForge account, or are in the mood to sign up for an account, log in and simply submit a bug report.

  2. If you don't have a SourceForge account, you can send an email to one of our developers. They're more than happy to submit a bug report for you.

Regardless of which method you choose, there's one guideline we'd ask you to follow: when submitting a bug report, no matter how tiny, give us as much information as possible. The more information we have, the quicker we can diagnose and fix the problem. There's no piece of information, no clue, too small (well, the weather outside may not be relevant; use your discretion).

If you're one of those fancy-schmancy computer nerd-types and believe you've found the source of the problem, don't hesitate to send us a patch; we're always happy to let other people do our work for us.
